CEPN is Growing!
Clean Electronics Production Network (CEPN) is thrilled to announce that Amazon Devices has become the newest member of the Network, joining over 20 member organizations in collaborating to reduce and eliminate workers’ exposure to toxic chemicals in the electronics supply chain. CEPN is a multi-stakeholder a community of leaders who share a strong and valuable commitment to protect workers from hazardous process chemicals.
Amazon Devices and Services is a division within Amazon, focused on delivering a constellation of devices, services, and experiences that empower customers to stay connected, safe, informed, productive, educated, and entertained.
CEPN is excited to have Amazon Devices join the Network and we look forward to working with them more closely!
CEPN welcomes new participants from all across the supply chain who are leaders, innovators, and collaborators, as well as experts in their part of the supply chain, and committed to the goal of CEPN — moving toward zero exposure of workers to toxic chemicals in the electronics manufacturing process. If your organization is interested in joining CEPN, please contact us.
Chemical Safety Training Continues to Expand
The CEPN team successfully completed two in-person Chemical Safety Train-the-Trainer Sessions over the month of August. The sessions took place in Thailand and Malaysia and featured participants from brands, supplier facilities, training organizations, and others.
Our Train the Trainer Sessions have helped expand our network of Qualified Trainers. Currently, over 40 individuals have been trained to become Qualified Trainers. Nine organizations are now ready and available to provide training in six countries. With each session, we equip more professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the Chemical Safety Training to more suppliers across the global electronics supply chain.
The next Train-the-Trainer Sessions will take place virtually in October and December. October’s session is at capacity, and we expect December’s will be soon as well. We will be hosting additional sessions in 2026.
If you are interested in joining a training, please reach out to us and we'll let you know when additional trainings are scheduled.
CEPN Member ChemFORWARD Launches Tool to Strengthen Worker Safety
In partnership with CEPN member Apple, ChemFORWARD has launched a dedicated application for cleaner and degreaser ingredient optimization. This resource can help formulators replace hazardous chemicals with safer alternatives to help reduce worker exposure and improve safety across the electronics supply chain.
The free, web-based tool is part of the ChemWorks platform and can be accessed for free by registering on their site.
